HAMPSHIRE WILDCAT LACROSSE SPORTSMANSHIP & CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY
Sportsmanship:
1. Respect your teammates, coaches, referees and opponents at all times, even when others do not. Coaches and referees give their time for your benefit and should be respected.
2. Know the rules of the game of lacrosse and abide by them.
3. Wear the required equipment at all games and practices. Keep equipment maintained.
4. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes – that is part of learning.
5. Be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
6. Remember you are representing Hampshire Youth Lacrosse on and off the field. Be a good leader and set positive examples.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
Everyone in attendance of any HYLAX event must abide by a Code of Conduct (including but not limited to player, parents, siblings, coaches and guests of players)
1. Everyone will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials and all in attendance of every Hampshire Youth Lacrosse event.
2. Everyone will place the emotional and physical well-being of all players and staff ahead of the personal desire to win.
3. Everyone will treat all other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
4. Everyone agrees not to deliberately incite and/or participate in unsportsmanlike conduct at any Hampshire Youth Lacrosse game or event.
5. Everyone agrees not to use abusive or profane language or actions at any time at any game or event.
6. All players and Parents will learn the rules of the game and follow them at all times.
7. Any act of disrespect from anyone may be cause for immediate ejection from any and all current and future Hampshire Youth Lacrosse activities.
8. Bullying in any way shape or form will have a zero tolerance policy, anyone participating in any acts of bullying (including cyber bullying or bullying outside of HYLAX events) will be immediately removed from the event and all further events until deemed otherwise by the Board of Directors.
9. Any and all actions that are deemed criminal in natures will immediately be brought to local authorities and all parties involved parents/guardians will be notified.
